  • One-on-one support from our team, leading to an internship placement within your chosen career fields
  • Comfortable, well-located housing accommodation with private bedroom
  • Cultural and social activities designed to immerse you in the London lifestyle and introduce you to fellow interns from around the world. These activities vary by season, and may include:
    • Traditional afternoon tea
    • A night of theatre in the West End
    • Visits to world-famous museums and landmarks such as the London Eye
    • A river cruise on the Thames
  • A range of professional development resources, such as our Career Advancement Training modules, access to seminars and networking events, and a DISC workplace assessment
  • Step-by-step guidance through the visa process
  • Airport pick-up upon arrival in London
  • Live personal support throughout the program, including placement counseling, resume and cover letter guidance, on-site local staff, free & confidential access to mental health services provided by licensed professionals, and a session with a professional career coach after your internship is complete

Program Dates and Length

The internship component of the program is full-time, 32 to 40 hours per week. You choose when you want to start and the length of your internship (6 to 24 weeks). While you are welcome to apply at any time, for the best experience we recommend starting the process at least 3 months in advance of your desired start date.

Application and Internship Placement Process

  1. Apply - Fill out our short application form, attach your resume/CV, and schedule an online interview with our Admissions team. Applying is fast and free.

  1. Connect with The Intern Group's Admissions Team - Similar to an advising session, we will discuss your internship and career goals, and the program structure that best suits your professional and personal needs. Be prepared to talk about your background and goals. During this process we will review your application and determine your eligibility to participate in the program.

  1. Receive your decision - Within 1-3 days, we will send you our admissions decision. If you are accepted into the program, you can confirm your enrollment by submitting a deposit toward the program fee.

  1. Begin the Internship Placement Process - Once you are enrolled in the program, our placement team will create a professional profile for you and share it among our network of host organizations in London to find an internship opportunity that matches your goals. You will then have an interview with the host organization to ensure that it is a good match, and you also will begin the visa process if necessary.

Academic CreditInterns in Madrid

Our School of Record, Florida A&M University, issues transcripts for participation in The Intern Group’s internship programs. Each 40 hours of your internship program equates to 1 credit, subject to a minimum of 3 credits and a maximum of 9.

Whether you can receive academic credit for an internship depends on your university’s policies and your individual academic situation. Please carefully read our page on academic credit here.

Program Cost

Our programs have a fee, which covers all of the features described above. Because the programs include housing accommodation, the fee amount depends on the dates/length of your internship. You can look up the exact amounts and full details of the program fees on our website here. Also note that the internships may be either paid or unpaid, subject to the decision of the host company and the rules of your visa.

Financial Aid and Discounts

Students who receive any of the aid programs listed below receive a discount of US$500. You can also ask our Admissions team about any other discounts which may be available to you, such as special reduced fees for students or graduates of your university or college.

  • Pell Grant (U.S. students)
  • Maintenance Loan of over £7700 per year (U.K. students)
  • Youth Allowance (Australian students)
  • Canada Student Grant (CSG) (Canadian students)
  • Tertiary Student Finance Scheme (TSFS) (Hong Kong students)
  • Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP) (Hong Kong students)
