Knowledge of economics, culture, political systems, and marketing strategies is imperative for business professionals operating in the global arena. This course uses a hybrid model to study marketing in Latin America and regional business issues, with a focus on the emerging market of Peru. This multi-faceted experience encompasses class lectures, case studies, discussions, and speakers on aspects of Latin America, combined with the first-hand experiences in the developing nation of Peru.

- Attend a lecture on the business environment in Peru at the U.S. Embassy
- Visit the leading producer in the fishing industry,& Alicorp, the largest consumer goods company in Peru.
- Interact with students at the Universidad del Pacifico in LIma
- City tour of Cusco, the old Inca capital
- Explore Machu Pichu
- Experience a Latin American high-context culture first hand

MKT 4910 Business Study Tour Peru (3cr)
Students need to have a 2.5 GPA or higher and will need to have at least a sophomore standing by Fall 2020.
The first four class sessions will be held at BGSU, and then the Business Study Tour portion will be in Peru Nov. 21-29, 2020.
Because this exchange program is part of Bowling Green State University study abroad options, financial aid that could be applied to study on BGSU’s main campus can usually be applied equally to study in the program abroad.
