Program Description:


PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Spend 5 weeks this summer in Hong Kong at HKBU a place where  scholarly work in heavily promoted and students are engaged in internationalized activities on campus. 

Any undergraduate student in good academic standing interested in learning in a highly vibrant city setting is invited to apply. Once enrolled, you will be studying and interacting alongside with the other international students as well as local and Mainland students inside the same classrooms.

LOCATION
Hong Kong is in the heart of Asia and a gateway to Mainland China. It is a world class cosmopolitan city where wast and west blend in many ways.

LANGUAGE
The courses will all be taught in English. 

COURSES
Over 30 courses will be offered in the areas of Business, Communication, Economics, English, Film, Finance, History, Journalism, Marketing, Religion, Science and Sociology.

EXCURSIONS
Cultural and leisure activities are built into the programme so that students will have the opportunities to experience and learn about Hong Kong. The highlight of the programme is a 3-day cultural trip in Hong Kong and Macao to learn about the history and cultrue of the two regions. 

ACCOMMODATION
Students are housed in the university's undergraduate halls on the Baptist University Road Campus (BURC). Rooms are shared by two students are are air-conditioned. 

PROGRAM COSTS

Costs billed directly through BGSU Bursar's Office*
BGSU Tuition  BGSU Tuition and Fees can be found on the bursar’s WEBSITE. (Undergraduate, Graduate, In State and Out of State).
 
Education Abroad Fee $50
International Health Insurance $1.62 per day (Students will be billed one time for the duration of their program. This fee is non-refundable.)

FINANCIAL AID
Because this exchange program is part of Bowling Green State University study abroad options, financial aid that could be applied to study on BGSU’s main campus can usually be applied equally to study in the program abroad. If contacting via email please include your name and ID number along with the program name and semester you are planning to study abroad.  For appointments, please also include several days and times that work for you.
