Program Description:
The Artevelde Business School is part of Artevelde University College Ghent. The School teaches classes about the European Union and general business subjects. There is a blend of domestic and international students to enhance students’ intercultural business experience. Artevelde emphasizes theoretical business management with some experience in project work and teamwork.
The program takes place in Ghent, Belgium. Ghent is a Flemish city in the northern part of Belgium offering a vibrant student life  (70,000 students) as well as events, museums, restaurants and a good nightlife.  Ghent combines medieval grandeur and modern consciousness in a natural and modest way. The city boasts many music and film festivals, theater, and other cultural events.  It is only 30 miles from Brussels, Antwerp, Brugges and France. Aside from foreign language classes all courses are conducted in English.

Artevelde Business School wants to enhance students intercultural business experience by mixing domestic and international students. The program incorporates both introductory and advanced level of business classes.

Because this exchange program is part of Bowling Green State University study abroad options, financial aid that could be applied to study on BGSU’s main campus can usually be applied equally to study in the program abroad. If contacting via email please include your name and ID number along with the program name and semester you are planning to study abroad.  For appointments, please also include several days and times that work for you.

In addition to financial aid, there are International Travel Grants and general Education Abroad scholarship opportunities that are available for students on the Education Abroad WEBSITE.

Students participating in BGSU exchange programs will pay their tuition and fees as if they were studying at Bowling Green State University. Students are responsible for their own housing, room and board, health insurance, and incidental expenses. Business students will be requires to submit a $100 deposit to Education Abroad.

Excess Credit Fee 19+ $200 per credit
CBA Fee $500  (A non-refundable $100 deposit is required with application)

  If a student is granted upper level (3000 & 4000) business and tech course equivalencies, they will be charged the additional course fees upon return, when the equivalent course is posted to their record.
