Program Description:

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Daegu University, Korea's first higher educational institute for special education, was founded in 1956 and included the fields of Special Education, Rehabilitation Science, and Social Welfare. Today, Daegu University is a comprehensive university with 12 colleges (91 majors), 8 graduate schools, and an enrollment of over 20,000 students. Students can take Korean language classes and choose from a variety of English taught courses in subjects such as Business, Culture, History & Political Science.

LOCATION
There are two campuses at Daegu University. Its main campus is Gyeongsan and downtown campus is located in Daegu, Korea's third largest city. The locations ensure convenient access by plane, train, and subway. In addition, various cultural facilities and Daegu's city center are located nearby. Daegu University boasts a beautiful campus which is surrounded by Muncheonji Lake making it the ideal place to study Korean culture, language, and more.

ACCOMMODATION
Students will live in the International House with other international students. Additional housing details can be found HERE

FINANCIAL AID
Because this exchange program is part of Bowling Green State University study abroad options, financial aid that could be applied to study on BGSU’s main campus can usually be applied equally to study in the program abroad. If contacting via email please include your name and ID number along with the program name and semester you are planning to study abroad.  For appointments, please also include several days and times that work for you.

In addition to financial aid, there are International Travel Grants and general Education Abroad scholarship opportunities that are available for students on the Education Abroad WEBSITE.

PROGRAM COSTS
Students participating in BGSU exchange programs will pay their tuition and fees as if they were studying at Bowling Green State University. Students are responsible for their own housing, room and board, health insurance, and incidental expenses.
