The internship in Canada program offers comprehensive professional development and cultural immersion. BGSU 4900: Internship Abroad*
Variable: 1-12 credit hours
Students will have to complete a minimum of 120 clock hours to meet the internship requirement as determined by each specific academic department approving the experience abroad.
*If students would like the internship to count towards a specific degree requirement they must obtain permission from the relevant department. Please consult with the Education Abroad office.

After the initial review of your application, you will be instructed to schedule a 20 minute interview with The Intern Group’s admissions team so that they can learn more about your career goals. If accepted into the program, you’ll then begin your collaborative placement process with the local team in the destination you’re interested in interning abroad in.

- Immerse yourself in Canada’s largest indoor aquarium, with 16,000 aquatic animals, 100+ interactive displays, nine galleries, and three touch exhibits (featuring sharks, rays, horseshoe crabs).

- There is no better way to explore a new city than on foot! Listen to informative & entertaining tour guides covering topics such as graffiti, ghosts, bacon, rock & roll, immigration, and some historical facts on the great city of Toronto!
Interns will reside in shared apartments with other interns and international students. You will have your own lockable private bedroom. All apartments are equipped with bedding, basic cooking utensils and WIFI internet service. We take care to make sure that all of our housing options are located within safe areas with a reasonable commute (about 30-60 minutes is normal) to your internship by bus, metro or walking.Transportation in Toronto: A travel card loaded with credit to last for approximately one month of public transportation will be provided.
BGSU students who qualify for financial aid for a semester at BGSU may also qualify for funding to assist with the cost of this program.
