Do you want to study in Spain? The University of Murcia may be the perfect choice! Each year 1,000 international students from almost 50 countries find this university the ideal destination to do part of their studies.

The wide range of academic options, the possibility of studying Spanish as a second language, privileged location, the fun Murcian life, as well as the temperate climate throughout the year make Murcia a perfect destination for students. The University of Murcia has a variety of courses Spanish language and culture which makes it perfect for students looking to improve their language skills. Additionally the university offers several programs in English including, Business and Education.

Murcia is a university city in southeastern Spain located in the heart of the Mediterranean peninsular arch. Murcia founded by the Moors in 825, mixes 500 years' worth of Islamic architecture and influence with a fascinating old town of beautiful churches and museums, all in narrow streets and attractive plazas of many shapes and sizes. With close proximity to the Mediterranean Sea, Murcia boasts an ideal climate with mild winters and hot summers.

The majority of courses at The University of Murcia are taught in Spanish but there are several degrees in English including: Business and Education. 

Murcia does not require any previous knowledge of Spanish if you are applying for courses taught in English. Some basic Knowledge of Spanish is recommended though. For courses taught in Spanish students must provide a language proficiency report issued by a Spanish instructor stating that the applicant has at least a B! level according to CERFL or an intermediate-high/advanced low according to ACTFL. 

A 30-hour free of charge crash course of Spanish is offered to  all exchange students before the beginning of classes.

This is an exchange program which means students will pay all housing costs directly to the university abroad. There will be no room and board charges through BGSU during this time. The University of Murcia offers an accommodation service that works with students to secure housing. Students will love in shared apartments in the city center. Because this exchange program is part of Bowling Green State University study abroad options, financial aid that could be applied to study on BGSU’s main campus can usually be applied equally to study in the program abroad.

In addition to financial aid, there are International Travel Grants and general Education Abroad scholarship opportunities that are available for students on the Education Abroad WEBSITE

Students participating in BGSU exchange programs will pay their tuition and fees as if they were studying at Bowling Green State University. Students are responsible for their own housing, room and board, health insurance, and incidental expenses.
